Hayom: Study

Hayom in eight languages

The app's buttons, headings and labels are translated into eight languages, ordered by the size of the Jewish community that speaks them. Where a translation of the text does not exist, the app says so rather than pretending.

What is translated

  • Menus and labels: Hebrew, English, French, Spanish, Russian, German, Portuguese and Yiddish.
  • The daily lesson: Hebrew and English. Other languages read the English.
  • Tehillim: Hebrew, English, French, German and Yiddish. Other languages read the Hebrew.

Right to left

Hebrew and Yiddish lay the whole app out right to left.

Questions

Why is my lesson in English?

The daily lesson is only available in Hebrew and English, so other languages show the English, with a note saying so.

Why are my Tehillim in Hebrew?

No Jewish translation of the Psalms is in the public domain for that language, so they are shown in Hebrew.
